MMLA Membership
The MMLA represents ALL members of the mortgage industry in Michigan. The goal is to have every MMLA current member recruit at least one new member to the association. Hence, our motto "All For One and One For All!"
MMLA, established in 1929, is now 80 years strong. We have a long history of providing great benefits and valuer to ou members. MMLA membership is granted on an individual basis so there are no corporate requirements for membership. This, along with the $129 annual membership fee, make it easier and more affordable than ever to be an MMLA member. There are critical changes in the industry right now with Loan Officer registration requirements, possible RESPA changes, possible predatory legislation...just to name a few. Also, staying connected to the other members is important in such a volatile time in the industry. Being a member of the MMLA will keep you informed and in touch for all of these issues.
The membership committee has a goal to add at least 300 new members this year. We need your help to meet this goal. If we all reach out and recruit one new member by the end of May we will far exceed this goal. The MMLA has put together some recruiting tools to help current members spread the word about the benefits of membership to non-members. Our members are all ambassadors for the association. We encourage members to help us cultivate new members by inviting their peers, co-workers, staff and colleagues to also become members. We also encourage our members to do business with other MMLA members. So, if you know someone in the industry who is not currently not a member, please invite them to become a member. If you do business with a non-member, please invite them to become a member. If you have employees or co-workers who are not members, please invite them to become a member. We will keep track of all member referrals and will acknowledge the members with the highest number of new member recruits so be sure your name is on the new member applications.
