MMLA Membership Luncheon
Hosted by the Western Michigan Chapter
February 18, 2010
Rock Fire Grill, Grand Rapids
What’s happening with USDA Rural? The West Chapter of the Michigan Mortgage Lenders Association is proud to present Kevin Smith from Rural USDA (United States Department of Agriculture). Kevin will be discussing current programs offered by the USDA along with homeownership services available to homebuyers and homeowners. He will better help us understand how USDA can further our initiative for homeownership especially in this current economy. Please join us for this informative presentation and bring your questions. We look forward to seeing you there.
SPEAKER: Kevin Smith joined USDA Rural Development, previously known as Farmers Home Administration in June 1982 and became the Area Director of the Howell/Mason Area Office in July 2004. He has been actively involved with the Guaranteed Rural Housing loan program since its inception in 1991. Currently Michigan has originated more Guaranteed Rural Housing loans than any other state in the nation. The Mason Area Office oversees the GRH loan program for southern part of Michigan. Kevin works throughout Michigan for Rural Development, in Bellaire, Adrian, Ithaca, Fowlerville, Howell and presently Mason.
Kevin's memberships include: Michigan Mortgage Lenders Association, Greater Lansing Association of Realtors, and the Michigan Association of Mortgage Professionals.
